VALOR project materials featured at two events on conservation and sustainable agriculture

In early September 2025, promotional materials from the VALOR project were displayed at two European events focused on biodiversity, conservation, and pollinator-friendly farming.

Between 2 and 6 September 2025, the Student Conference on Conservation Science (SCCS) took place in Hungary, bringing together early-career researchers and students from around the world. Organised by the HUN-REN Centre for Ecological Research, SCCS is part of the largest international series of student-led conservation science conferences. The event fosters a global community where young scientists present their work, participate in training sessions, and exchange ideas on advancing conservation efforts.

Shortly after, on 9-10 September 2025, VALOR materials were also showcased at the AGRI4POL Stakeholder workshop on pollinator-friendly farming towards a sustainable future of agriculture, held in Brussels, Belgium.

The display of VALOR materials at both events helped raise awareness of the project’s objectives and activities among diverse stakeholder groups. Organised by the University of Freiburg (UFR) and the Global Change Research Institute (CzechGlobe), the two-day workshop gathered more than 36 participants from across Europe, including policymakers, NGOs, researchers and advisory organisations.  In attendance was the VALOR coordinator, Tom Breeze, who is also involved in AGRI4POL, leading Work Package 5 Social & economic opportunities and obstacles towards pollinator friendly food system.

This outreach activity was carried out by Pensoft Publishers, VALOR’s partner responsible for Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation activities.
