From Brussles to Lund: VALOR showcased at the Safeguard and PollinERA meetings

In early 2026, the VALOR was showcased at two key pollinator events, strengthening its visibility and engagement across the European pollinator research community.

From 24 to 26 February 2026, VALOR promotional materials were displayed at the final meeting of the Safeguard project in Brussels, Belgium. The meeting marked the conclusion of Safeguard's work, contributing to reversing the loss of wild pollinators across Europe through increasing our understanding of the direct and indirect drivers of pollinator declines, environmental, economic and societal impacts and delivering an integrated assessment framework. The presence of VALOR at the event provided an opportunity to make a smooth linkage between these two projects, as VALOR will continue its work by building on the knowledge generated through the Safeguard research.  VALOR will also incorporate its results into the Safe-Hub, a single nexus point of data, informaton and toolkits on pollinator conservation developed during the Safeguard project.

Shortly after, between 10 and 12 March 2026, VALOR project materials were also displayed at the PollinERA second Annual General Meeting in Lund, Sweden. The event was hosted by the PollinERA partner institution, and ours as well, Lund University

Across both events, the display of VALOR materials supported knowledge exchange and helped strengthen links with pollinator-related initiatives.
